Mountain to Sound Outfitters is looking for a friendly, dependable, and outdoor-minded Part-Time Retail & Rentals Associate to join our team. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for the outdoors, and wants to help customers find the right gear for their next adventure.

The Retail & Rentals Associate will support day-to-day store operations, assist customers with gear selection and rentals, and help ensure that our equipment is clean, organized, and ready to go.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service in our retail and rental departments
• Help customers select outdoor apparel, equipment, and accessories based on their needs and experience level
• Process rental check-outs and returns, explain proper equipment use, and answer customer questions
• Inspect, clean, organize, and maintain rental equipment
• Assist with fitting and adjusting rental gear to ensure customers have a safe and comfortable experience
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process purchases, rental transactions, and payments
• Receive, organize, and restock retail merchandise
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
• Help with inventory counts and communicate equipment or product needs to management
• Learn and stay current on the products and equipment we carry
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to provide a great customer experience

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of customers
• Interest in outdoor recreation and a willingness to learn about outdoor gear and equipment
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able
• Must be a skier or snowboarder
• Experience in outdoor industry preferred
